Problem purpose statements

Waste in packaging:

Problem
Consumers are generally unaware of how unnecessary and environmentally impacting most packaging designs are. From food goods to hygiene supplies packaging these single use daily waste items are currently designed from production to immediate environmental toxic waste instead of being synthesized back from where they came.
Purpose:
The purpose of this research is to alleviate/ solve the enormous impact of human industrial waste on planet Earth.
End Users:
All consumers of any designed product will be included in the user base. They will also be among the primary stakeholders.
The Environment:
The location of change in this problem will occur anywhere were products are packaged/sold/purchased and designed.
Research: Not compiled yet some sources are:

End User: Any person that wishes to participate and keep current with what Friends of South Asia has to offer.
The Environment: Will consist of the internet platform of a website.

Surfboard Travel equipment.

Problem: Traveling overseas on major airlines with a surfboard has become a costly procedure with the new marketing trends of nearly all major airlines
Purpose: The purpose of this research will target the feasibility and practicality of developing a surfboard that is comprised of multiple pieces running vertically from tip to tail in order to preserve the performance characteristics of a non-segmented surfboard.
End User: The primary user in this product will be traveling surfers looking to save on airfare costs.
Environment: All of the practicality will be at the airport check on station for traveling surfboard equipment. If the product can be designed to be waived from current pricing then it will not be a failure, assuming it still operates as it should.
